EZEKIEL "ZEKE" WARD ROBERT Ezekiel “Zeke” Ward Roberts, 42, of Hinckley, formerly of Crosby, died on Aug. 13, 2023.  He was born in Tampa, FL on Sept. 13, 1980 to Clarence and Sandra (Workman) Roberts.   
He is survived by his brother, Zoe Roberts of Brainerd and his sister, Leiah Roberts of Crosby and three nieces and one nephew.
Preceding him in death are his parents.
No services are being held.
Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.

John Garen Greene Obit

JOHN GAREN GREENE, 85, of Rogers, formerly of Deerwood, died on July 31, 2023 in his home surrounded by family.  John was born to Clyde and Edna Greene on Aug. 27, 1937 and raised in Bigfork. On Aug. 17, 1963 John was united in marriage to Elaine Heather. John served in the Navy, worked as a truck driver, Minnesota State Trooper and in retirement loved being in the woods working as a logger. John enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, cutting wood and spending time with his three grandchildren.

Rita Pedersen Beard Obit

RITA PEDERSEN BEARD, 88, passed away on July 30, 2023. She was born on Jan. 1, 1935 in St. Paul to Emmy and Knud Pedersen and graduated from Murray High School. She went on to get a degree in elementary education from the University of Minnesota. On Aug. 4, 1956, Rita married her high school sweetheart Robert (Bob) Beard. They were married for 66 wonderful years.

JERRY RAPH, 71, died Thursday, July 27, 2023. He was born to Gerald and Judith Raph on April 19, 1952, in Brainerd. He loved the mountains, hunting and spending time outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald; brother-in-law, Carl Schneider; and his grandparents.
He is survived by his best friend, Lillie; children, Cyndy Boyd (Steve) and Bradley Raph (Audrey); mother, Judy; siblings: Penney Schneider, Lynn Raph, Neil Raph (Barb), Gary Raph (Lynn), Brenda Sullivan (Bill); four grandchildren; and many, many nieces and nephews.
Services have been held.

Thomas Paul Doshan Obit

THOMAS PAUL DOSHAN was born to Carole and Daniel Doshan on March 11, 1943 in Crosby. He died July 25, 2023.
Upon graduation from Crosby-Ironton High School in 1961, he moved to Minneapolis where he attended the University of Minnesota and graduated with B.A. and M.A. degrees in Psychology. He later earned his PhD at the University of Iowa. He devoted his life to working with handicapped children and adults and later with those suffering from severe dementia and Alzheimer’s. Ironically, it was Alzheimer’s that took him little by little the past ten years.

ALAN GAYLORD VAN HORN, 59, passed away June 30, 2023 at his home in Deerwood. Alan was born Oct. 13, 1963 to Thomas and Mary Jane (Wgeishofski) VanHorn in Aitkin. Alan was a loved father, brother, uncle, and friend.
He attended Crosby-Ironton High School before moving to Texas for work. He eventually moved back to Minnesota to work for his family's logging company, where he became a successful logger.

Funeral services will be held for Geraldine Miller 88, of Crosby on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 1 p.m. at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

Daniel Michael Krinovich Obit

DANIEL MICHAEL KRINOVICH, 85, of Fruitland Park, FL died on Nov. 22, 2022.  He was born in Crosby on Nov. 19, 1937 to George and Katherine (Katalanich) Krinovich. He  was employed with the Iron Ore Mines in Crosby, Aurora Hoyt Lakes area, Liberia Africa and the Southern Peru Copper Mines and was a retired employee of the Arizona Eastern Railroad.
Preceding him in death are his parents; his first wife, Darlene; his sisters, Mayme Martin, Ann Larson, Mary Stone and Kata Scull.
