ERNIE MILLER, 82, of Emily, died at his home on July 12, 2023.  He was born in Granite Falls Township  on April 16, 1941 to Allen and Lorena (Kruse) Miller.  
He wore many hats during his lifetime and whether it was overseeing an office rebuild, building Shaker reproduction furniture, managing a hydroponics greenhouse or pulling irrigation pipe for strawberries, he sank his heart and soul into each project.  

Michael "Mike" John Dufour

MICHAEL "MIKE" JOHN DUFOUR, 61, of Brainerd, died at his home on July 11, 2023.  He was born in St. Paul on Feb. 8, 1962 to John and Donna (Lowrie) Dufour.  He was a retired electrician with 35 years of service and was an IBEW member of Local 110, St. Paul.
Preceding him in death are his wife, Karla and one brother, John Dufour.
He is survived by his parents; John and Donna Dufour of Brainerd; one brother, Jerry Dufour of Brainerd and one sister, Chelly (Paul Steinhoff) Dufour of Inver Grove Heights.  
Private services are being held.

Richard "Gary" Garfield Lee Obit

RICHARD "GARY" GARFIELD LEE died May 20, 2023. He was born Jan. 31, 1940 in Big Fork to Richard Orville Lee and Gwendolyn Lee. He was an only child.
As a young man, he met a beautiful young woman named Carole at choir practice. He was truly smitten. They were married Feb. 23, 1963.
He joined the Army National Guard and rose to the rank of Platoon Sergeant. He also learned to fly and received his pilot’s license.
He make a career in banking, working for the OCC as a bank examiner before becoming the head of audit at Farmers and Merchants Bank in southern California.

Roger John Bohall Obit

ROGER JOHN BOHALL, 34, died in a side by side accident in Montana on Wednesday, July 5, 2023. He was born in Souix City, IA, on Aug. 28, 1988 to John Bohall and Jennifer Seeman. He graduated from Pequot Lakes High School. He was employed by Fletcher Trucking Compnay. He loved his family, friends, weiner dogs, camping, ATVing, hunting, fishing and his food. Preceeding him in death are his father, John Bohall and his grandparents, an aunt and several uncles.

MARILYN McGEEHAN, 87, died Friday, June 30, 2023. She was born to Francis and Velma (Nelson) Lightner-Johnson in Little Falls. Marilyn, our mother, loved life, adventures, her family, friends, outdoors, animals and wildlife. She also enjoyed exploring sites along the way. Each stage of her life was a new adventure. Mother loved it all. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, George McGeehan; parents; brother Lowell; sister Leona; sisters-in-law Carmen and Beverly and nephews Sean, Scott and Brian and niece, Ashley Lyvers.

Dorothy Hariet Mayfield Rhodes Obit

DOROTHY HARRIET MAXFIELD RHODES was born at home on July 17, 1929 to Ragna Elizabeth (Rono) and Joseph Leroy Maxfield in Perry Lake Township by the Mississippi River.  On Nov. 15, 2022, Dorothy went on to heaven due to natural causes when she was 93 years old.   Dorothy attended C-I High School graduating in 1947.  Mom then pursued administrative employment until she met, and then married Edward on March 19, 1950.  Over the years, their family grew to five children.

LINA PAULETTE BIERMAN was called by the Lord to her 'promised room' in heaven on Jan. 11, 2023. Linda was born on June 27, 1951, in Miner's Hospital in Crosby to the delight of her parents; Bill (Tody) and Ruth (Beebe) Bierman.  Linda was full of 'vim & vigor' from an early age, always running, jumping, dancing and doing cartwheels (after she finally mastered how)!  Linda entered kindergarten in the Ironton grade school then on to C-I High School where she graduated with the Class of 1969.

Joseph B. Brown Obit

JOSEPH B. BROWN, 63, died on June 24, 2023. He was a resident of Woodland Park, CO for over 15 years and was a former resident of Colorado Springs, CO. He held many jobs in his lifetime but was employed with Lamb Excavating at the time of death. He was born on Oct. 12, 1959 to John Brown and Brynetta (Hendrickson) Brown in Crosby-Ironton. On Sept. 13, 1980 he married the love of his life, Amy (Squires) Brown. He was fond of fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Catholic Church and attended Crosby-Ironton High School and graduated in 1978.

David William Bolei

DAVID WILLIAM BOLEI, 80, of Crosby, died on June 17, 2023 at his home.  He was born in Crosby on June 7, 1943 to Jess and Gertie (Jones) Bolei.  David married Connie Jo Benjamin on July 20, 2008 in Crosby.  He was a retired owner of D & J Machining in Brainerd and a member of the Crosslake American Legion.  David was an avid outdoorsman with several prize mounts in his home.   He was a man of honor and integrity, who loved to be in and with nature.  His humility was a lesson to many and his humor unique and infectious.  He will be missed by many.
