Ann A. Smith Obit

ANN A. SMITH, 89, died on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2023. She was born on April 2, 1934, in Des Moines, IA to L. Dale and  Doris Ahern. She married Bruce K. Smith on Dec. 26, 1953, in Decorah, IA.  She was an active mother of three and was involved in Westwood Lutheran Church, Elliot Elementary school, Blue Birds and many other local organizations.
She was a Business Manager of 18 years at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park. She and her husband retired to their dream home on Rabbit Lake in Crosby in 1991.
She had many interests which include her passion for drawing house plans, floral arrangement, antiquing, home decor and listening to music.
Preceding her in death are her husband, parents, brother, sister, granddaughter and son-in-law.
She is survived by her daughter Kristi L. Scouton, son and daughter-in-law Jeffrey B.  and Lynda Smith, daughter and son-in-law Julie and Robert Bible; eight grandchildren,  10 great-grandchildren and  many nieces and nephews.
The family will join in the celebration of her life in Chariton, IA at Grimes Cemetery.
