Carol Myrphy-Smrt Obit

CAROL MURPHY-SMRT, 76, of Brainerd, passed away at Essentia Health-Duluth on Feb. 19, 2023. Carol was born to Albert and Jean (Leatherman) Cook on March 15, 1946, in Humboldt, NE. She moved to the Brainerd area in 1980, and was self employed as a hairdresser for many years. She owned a Harley Davidson motorcycle, and that was her pride and joy. She loved attending motorcycle events, and riding in the nice weather. She loved all things Betty-Boop and Mickey Mouse, enjoyed crafting and knitting, and was a fantastic bowler-being on several leagues for several years in Crosby. She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Smrt, a son, her parents, a sister, two brothers and two sisters-in-law and a nephew. She is survived by her sister Lisa (Joe) Hynes, her daughter LaTisha Murphy, six grandchildren   and two great-grandchildren, five nephews and three nieces. A Celebration of Life has been held.
