ELAINE MARIE (LAUGHTON) COMPTON, 60, of Kearney, MO, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2023. Elaine was born on July 10, 1962 in Crosby to George and Lois Laughton. On May 21, 1983 she married Jeffrey Wayne Compton, they were married for 39 years and nine months. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother. She is survived by her mother, Lois Laughton of Crosby; husband, Jeffrey Compton; sons, Wayne (Melinda) Compton and Wesley (Maddison) Compton; nine grandchildren; siblings, David (Judy) Laughton, Audrey (Wayne) Compton, Sylvia (Curtis) Hoge, Dale (Tammy) Laughton, Gayle (Kip) Williams, and Kathy (Vicki) Laughton. A memorial service has been held.
