Homeless and Wounded Warriors-MN grants scholarships

Homeless and Wounded Warriors-MN, is a Crosslake headquartered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization assisting homeless and needy veterans. Its executive board, meeting on Sunday, May 8, voted to make a $5,000 donation to Central Lakes College veterans assistance program for five $1,000 dollar scholarships to be disbursed one per year over the next five years.
An interview process will involve both a member of Homeless and Wounded Warriors-MN Board and the Director of Veterans Services at CLC along with the veteran will meet to determine eligibility and interview for need and suitability.
This is not only in keeping with our practice of helping homeless veterans get housing with supportive services, but supporting our local area Wounded Warriors in their dreams of being educated in their field of choice and becoming, once more, contributing members of society.
