Robert "Bob" Rodenborn Obit

ROBERT "BOB" RODENBORN left this world suddenly on Monday, May 15, 2023 at age 81. He was a caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He was born to Dolores and Richard Rodenborn on Jan. 30, 1942. Bob was drafted into the army where he was a Paratrooper in many places amongst the U.S. Bob met the love of his life, Renee, across the street from him. Bob and Renee married on Sept. 10, 1966 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. They lived in Brooklyn Park until 1999. They also owned a second home in Aitkin and retired there. Bob and Renee loved to spend time with family, sit on their deck, mom with a cappuccino and dad with an Iron Butterfly enjoying the birds and the beautiful lakeview. They also spent some winters down in Florida. Bob was a lover of all things outdoors, including deer hunting, fishing, and gardening. He had a bee farm for many years making his own honey and also making his own maple syrup. Entertaining was his specialty, making sure everyone was taken care of when they had company at the cabin, which meant when he was cooking. Get out of the kitchen!
