Solutions for Heartburn and Relux Virtual Seminar

“Solutions for Heartburn and Reflux” will be offered virtually Tuesday, Aug. 18, by Cuyuna Regional Medical Center specialist Dr. Andrew Loveitt. Go to www.facebook. com/crosbycares/ at 6 p.m. to view the presentation.
Dr. Loveitt will speak about new, state-of-the-art minimally invasive treatments for Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) now available in the area including Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication, Stretta and the LINX Reflux Management System.  Participants will be able to ask their individual questions via chat and they will be answered by Dr. Loveitt and Registered Nurse Lea Carlson.
GERD is caused by a weak valve that allows acid, bile and stomach contents to flow back from the stomach into the esophagus, creating heartburn and often causing damage to the lining of the esophagus. In addition to heartburn, GERD sufferers experience regurgitation, hoarseness, persistent cough, asthma, bad breath, sleep disturbance, and tooth erosion.
