4th of July in Crosby


2018 Grand Marshal in the Crosby 4th of July parade was Edgar Laughton. It was also his 80th birthday.

Plan now for a spectacular Fourth of July in Crosby.
On Thursday, July 4 the two-mile parade starts at 11 a.m. in Ironton along Highway 210 ending at  Second Avenue East. The kiddie parade is on Crosby’s Main Street (from the four-way stop to SuperOne) starts at 11 a.m.
Online parade registration is attached or visit the City of Crosby’s Web site, www.cityofcrosby.com and then click under "Services" and then "Fire Department."  
Activities all day in Crosby Memorial Park on Serpent Lake in Crosby include a beer garden, food vendors, live music, activities and more. Fireworks begin at dusk. Bring your lawn chairs and/or blankets to spend the whole day at the lake!

—July 3: Spalding Street Dance…A street dance will be held on Wednesday, July 3  at the Spalding located at One West Main Street in Crosby. Enjoy live music with “Kings Ransom” from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. A $5 cover charge applies. You must be 21 and older to attend the street dance. Maucieri’s Bistro on Wheels will be serving food meals from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.  Bring a hearty appetite and your dancing shoes!

—July 4: IFD Auxiliary's Pancake Breakfast at Ironton Legion…Start your day off with a full tummy and enjoy the Ironton Fire Department Auxiliary’s pancake breakfast! The event will be held from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Ironton Legion on Thursday, July 4. Prices are $6 for adults, kids 12 and under, $4. Meal includes pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee.

The kiddie parade on July 4th…The Crosby Fire Department Auxiliary is hosting its annual Kiddie Parade along Main Street in Crosby. The Kiddie parade will begin at 11 a.m. Entrants are asked to be on the street between the post office and the former Heartland Cafe (Second Avenue NW) by 10:30 a.m. The route will take you down Main Street ending by SuperOne. First place is a $30 certificate, second place wins a $20 certificate and third place, a $10 certificate. All particpants receive a freezie. July 5: Midway Bar's Annual Parking Lot Party…On Friday, July 5 enjoy the outdoor bar in the parking lot starting at noon. The Vigilant Guardians Veterans Motorcycle Club is selling $5 burger or brat meals (includes chips and soda), and selling signature clothing from noon to midnight.  All proceeds to benefit our veterans and families across the Lakes Area through the non-profit, 501(c)3 Vigilant Guardians Veterans Motorcycle Club.
Sign-up for the corn hole tournament! Don’t miss the SUPER MEGA meat raffle at 5 p.m. Purchase a $1 ticket for a chance to win one of 30 $15 meat packages or one of two $50 meat packages. Meat raffle proceeds benefit the C-I Sportsboosters. Back by popular demand,  live music by 8 foot 4 will entertain from 8 to midnight. A $5 cover charge applies.
