BRENDAN BROCK FLOWER, 64, passed away Oct. 22, 2025 at Wedum Hospice in Coon Rapids after years of complications from cancer. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 4 at the Walter Scott Erickson American Legion Post #557 in Deerwood from 2 to 4 p.m.

JEFFREY EDWARD LEONARD, 65, of Ironton, passed away on Feb. 21, 2026 at his home after a short battle with cancer. He was born Aug. 22, 1960 in Crosby to Franklin and Betty (Vaars) Leonard.   Jeff graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School in 1978 and Brainerd Technical College with an auto mechanics degree. He had a career with Crosby Manufacturing and then Lindar Corporation, where he retired in August 2025 with 15 years of service. Jeff played hockey in his earlier years, and softball and bowling for many years. He enjoyed watching sports, especially his beloved Minnesota Vikings.

TAMMY RAE BUTLER, 65, of Aitkin, passed away at her home on Feb. 25, 2026.   She was born in Norfolk, VA on Oct. 24, 1960 to David and Judith (Ruschmeyer) DeCent.   She was united in marriage with Thomas Butler on Aug. 2, 1980 in Iron Hub. She retired from Anderson Brothers in Brainerd with 36 years of service. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Iron Hub. She is survived by her husband, Tom; her father, Dave DeCent of Tucson, AZ; one brother, David (Sally) DeCent of Oracle, AZ; two sisters, Kim DeCent and Lisa DeCent both of Tucson, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.

Richard Eugene Roberts Obit

RICHARD EUGENE ROBERTS was born on Sept. 1, 1955 in Crosby to Eldon Roberts and Beatrice Bowman. He passed away from surgery complications on Feb. 13, 2026 in Robbinsdale. He was proud of his country and served in the United States Air Force. He served in the battle of Vietnam. He was known for his social skills and also referred to by many as "The Meat Raffle Man." He could be seen calling  many meat raffles in the area and often heard yelling "Hell Yeah!" when a winner was called. Aside from his friends and  family he was proud of his son Joseph Roberts of Cuyuna.

DONOVAN "DON" OLSON, 88, of Andover formerly of Deerwood, passed away on Feb. 15, 2026. He was born in Minneapolis on Jan. 13, 1938 to Leo and Sybil (Johnson) Olson. Don was united in marriage to Darlene Taylor on Jan. 2, 1965 in Duluth. Don is survived by his wife Darlene; his children, Nancy (Rick) Ringel of Blaine and Christi (Leonard) Haupert of Coon Rapids; Michael (Debra) Olson of Ham Lake; one brother, Thomas (Julia) Olson of Minnetonka; sister-in-law, Anne Olson of New Richmond, WI; six grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

JEROME 'SHORTY" N. BEDDOW, 87, of Sauk Centre, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, at the CentraCare Hospital in Sauk Centre. Jerome Noel Beddow was born on Dec. 23, 1938, to Eldred and Evelyn (Lind) Beddow. He graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School in 1957 where he lettered in three sports: football, basketball, and track. He was captain of both the basketball and track teams. Shorty enlisted in the National Guard in 1958 and served on active duty. He completed basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, and advanced training at Fort Knox, KY. On Aug.

Eleanor Marie Paluck Obit

ELEANOR MARIE PALUCK, 87 of Crosby, passed away on Feb. 11, 2026, at Heartwood Care Center in Crosby. She was born on Aug. 27, 1938, in New Avon Township to Nicholas and Sophia (Wolniewicz) Thomas.     She worked as secretary to the Principal at Redwood Falls High School before and early in her marriage to Lawrence in 1957. For over 50 years they lived in Vesta where they raised their six children.  She was a devout member of Holy Name Catholic Church and served on the Christian Mother’s Society.
