THOMAS ALLEN STANTON, 85, of Crosby, passed away on June 13, 2026 at our home. He was born in Owatonna on Aug. 30, 1940 to C.M. “Bud” and Ardele (Hill) Stanton. As a young boy, he discovered the thrill of speed on his hockey skates, making his way down Cinder Hill to Morehouse Park rinks where he made wonderful memories in the Warzinski warming house and on the ice. He enjoyed playing hockey through high school and later, coached the Weber’s Bar Seniors and broomball teams. Tom attended Owatonna High School and served in the United States Air Force.

DuWAYNE ELTON LEHRKE passed away at his home on July 1, 2026. He was born on July 26, 1946, in Crosby to Edward and Ruth (Oppelt) Lehrke, and was the youngest of four children. He graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School in 1964 and went on to complete his studies as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. On Aug. 24, 1968, he was united in marriage to Sheila Sandberg. Together, they made their home in Detroit Lakes where they raised their four children.

BARBARA ANNE KIELTY, 91, of Brainerd, passed away at her home on July 3, 2026. She was a strong but gentle wife and mother who was an integral part of everyone’s life. She was active and lived life to the fullest.  Her passion was her church and family along with her love for the Minnesota Gophers and Twins.  She loved volunteering at the church and delivering meals for Meals on Wheels.   Barbara is survived by her eight children; Daniel (Chrissy), Theresa Gade (Richard), Steven (Mary), Patrick, Michael (Beth), Paul (Christine), Suzanne, Michele Hutton (David).

JAN D. BERSIE, 68, died June 25, 2026 at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center of Crosby. He was born Jan. 1, 1958, to Argyle and Vernice (Greenhagen) Bersie. He grew up in Minneapolis. He moved to the family cabin on Bay Lake as a young adult as he loved the lake life and his fast boats! He worked many years at Hansen’s fixing small engines and was a cook at The White Hawk, Lonesome Pine, Little Whitefish Resort, and Garrison VFW.

Robert "Bob" Lee Himmelright Obit

ROBERT "BOB" LEE HIMELRIGHT passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026, in Deerwood. He was born to Clara (Grife) and Aaron Himmelright on April 15, 1934, in Nary, MN. He graduated from Bemidji High School and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was deployed with a regimental mortar company in the 3rd Marine Division to Korea shortly before the Korean Armistice Agreement was signed. He was a lumber yard manager in South Dakota and Minnesota and an instructor at Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount.

BARBARA ANNE KIELTY, 91, of Bay Lake, passed away on July 3, 2026 at her home. A memorial service is being planned.  A full obit will follow. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.

A gathering for Clifford Rono who passed away Dec. 25, 2025 will be held on Saturday, July 25 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Deerwood Auditorium in Deerwood. The gathering is being held by is brother Adolph and sisters, Sharon, Delores, Janice, Joan and Jane. Lunch is being served. No cards please.

RUBY ELAINE (MOE) NELSON, 94, of Henning (formerly of Crosby) passed away Jan. 24, 2026 in Henning. Ruby Elaine (Moe) Nelson was born on July 7, 1931, in Le Roy, the eldest of seven children to William and Agnes (Sorenson) Moe. Preceding Ruby in death were her parents, William and Agnes Moe; her husband of 59 years, Dr. Marlin “Muggs” Nelson; siblings: Clarence Moe, Glennis Maruskie, Geraldine Klopfleisch, Robert Moe and Kenneth Moe; son-in-law, Dal Geyer; daughter-in-law, Cindy Nelson; grandsons: Anthony Geyer, Timothy Geyer and Timothy Nelson.

Hazel Patricia Yotter Obit

HAZEL PATRICIA YOTTER, 90, of Crosslake, passed away on July 1, 2026 at White Fish at the Lakes in Crosslake. She was born on Oct. 27, 1935, to Leland and Hazel Lougee at their log home in Mission Township. She attended the Mission Country Elementary School and then Crosby-Ironton High School. She worked as a Candy Striper at St. Joseph Hospital in Brainerd right out of school.  She met Dale Yotter at Moonlight Bay in Crosslake and they married on March 27, 1954. She became a homemaker and mother. She returned to work at St. Joseph Hospital as a CNA after her children were older.
