RICHARD "DICK" A. MANN, 98, followed his dear wife Sally into his eternal home with Jesus on June 6, 2026, after a short bout with pneumonia. They spent their final years in Ohio, sharing joy with their five kids, 11 grandkids and 36 greatgrandkids, up to the end. Dick thoroughly enjoyed his productive career as a mining engineer, mainly on the Cuyuna and Mesabi Iron Ranges in Minnesota, and later in Cleveland, working on various international projects.   He retired from Pickands Mather to his much loved property on Rabbit Lake near Crosby, MN.

JON LINDAHL, a wild and crazy, free spirited, adventurous character, with a kind and compassionate heart, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2026. He was born Thursday, May 30, 1968 in Crosby. He spent his childhood in Emily alongside his three brothers and two sisters. He graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School on his birthday in 1986. Shortly after graduation he moved to New Mexico where he spent a majority of his life building race cars, monster trucks, getting into trouble, and cracking jokes. He then moved back to Minnesota and became a well-known commercial painter.

BEVERLY MARIE JOHNSON, 92, of Roseville, MN, died May 27, 2026, from complications of Lewy body dementia. She wrote under her maiden name, Beverly Mindrum, during her career as an editor and a reporter for both the Minneapolis Star Tribune and the St. Paul Dispatch and Pioneer Press. Born November 16, 1933, in Bemidji, MN, she grew up in Palisade and Aitkin, MN, where early life included both school and hard work. She even left school for two years to work as a lumberjack alongside her brother, Lamberth, to help support the household.

CHARLES "CHUCK" RAPLPH WYNN, SR., 93 of Crosby, passed away on May 18, 2026 at his home at Heartwood. He was born on June 13, 1932, in Little Pine Township to Gailand and Ferne (Miles) Wynn, the oldest of 12 children.  Charles married Marlene Griesbach on Sept. 22, 1951, in Winona.  Charles and Marlene had a family of eight. Early in their marriage, they lived in Winona before moving to the Crosby/Deerwood area. He served in the U.S. Army as a cook and then served in the National Guard. He was as a fireman for 20 years.  He worked as a shoemaker’s helper in Winona.

JULIA ANN TRAVIS, 82, of Ironton, passed away on June 2, 2026, at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. She was born on June 19, 1943, in Germantown, MD, to James and Mary (Dodson) Woodard. She was united in marriage to Milton Travis in Maryland. She is survived by two sons, Richard Travis and Ronald Travis; two daughters, Anita Travis and Sheila (Richard) Bise; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death is her husband Milton in 2019. A Graveside Service was held at the Woodland Cemetery in Irondale Township.

LOVELL S. BAKER, 93, of Emily passed away on April 28, 2026. Lovell was born in Canton, SD, on July 15, 1932. He was the son of William and Lydia Baker. He is survived three siblings and was the father of two sons, Douglas and Brian Baker. He retired from the 3M corporation after a very successful career in business development and executive management. He loved the outdoors and had a passion for hunting, fishing and motor sports. He was a volunteer fireman for the Emily Fire Department and served on the board for the local phone company.

MARJORIE JEAN VOPAT BYKER met our Lord on Sunday, May 31, 2026.   She passed away at the Heartwood Care Center in Crosby, MN.  She was 98 years and 9 months and lived a long fulfilling life. Mom left a legacy of love to her children and family and a lasting impression on her many friends. She embodied the best of virtues; unconditional love for her children, strength of spirit, and a quest for adventure and learning. She was born on Sept. 12,1927 to Frank and Betty Hoefert in rural Seneca, SD.

ADRIAN OLEAN OLSON AND JEAN ELIZABETH (BUNGE) OLSON, who were married for 61 years, passed away within 45 days of each other. Adrian on March 25, 2026 at 82 and Jean on May 9 at  81. Adrian was born on Jan. 20, 1944 to Raymond and Ethel Olson in Spring Grove, MN. He graduated from Spring Grove high school and from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa with a degree in Elementary Education. He got his Master’s Degree from the University of Minnesota. He retired from Hennepin Technical College in 1999, where he held various positions, including Dean of Students.
