Jan D. Bersie Obit

JAN D. BERSIE, 68, died June 25, 2026 at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center of Crosby. He was born Jan. 1, 1958, to Argyle and Vernice (Greenhagen) Bersie. He grew up in Minneapolis. He moved to the family cabin on Bay Lake as a young adult as he loved the lake life and his fast boats! He worked many years at Hansen’s fixing small engines and was a cook at The White Hawk, Lonesome Pine, Little Whitefish Resort, and Garrison VFW. Many turned to him to fix their boat motors over the years, knew his way around the kitchen, and always seemed to know where and when the fish were biting..especially those crappies! He is preceded in death by: His parents Argyle and Vernice Bersie, brother Jay Bersie, and sister Stephanie McNamara. Survived by his daughter Krystal Milbrandt, one granddaughter, one grandson, sister Sharon Ruane, Brenda (Steve) Lanak, brother Mark Bersie, sister Adria Bersie, sister Beth (Keith) White, brother Brett Bersie, sister Bonnie (Randy) Merry, sister Pam Bersie, and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, July 20 at the Garrison VFW.
