Angelo Olaf Vang Obit

ANGELO OLAF VANG, 5, of Maple Grove passed away March 28 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester from pediatric pulmonary hypertension. Angelo was born on July 23, 2016 at 23 weeks weighing 15 ounces. He spent the first 18 months of his life under the loving care of the M Health Children's Hospital before adoption. With an infectious smile and a contagious laugh, Angelo brought joy to everyone he met. He loved Disney movies, Sonic the Hedgehog, music, books and Bowser. Hours before his passing, he defeated Bowser one last time on his Nintendo Switch. He is preceded in death by Grandma Meg, Aunt Ev and Great Grandma Betty. He is survived by mom, Kelly and dad, Willie, Grandpa Bob, Grandpa Dave, Grandma Beth, and Grandma Kristine and many loving members of his team that contributed to his growth; friends, family, nurses, doctors and teachers. Funeral service is Thursday April 7 at noon at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 155 County Road 24 in Wayzata. Visitation 10 a.m. at the church. Memorials preferred to the Lovaas Institute Midwest, Mayo Clinic (Peds) or M Health Children's Hospital. Funeral service will be livestreamed.
