Bess Marie Mahle Obit

BESS MARIE MAHLE, 89, of Baxter, passed away on Aug. 21, 2025. Shewas born on Jan. 14, 1936, in Portland, OR, to Lawrence and Helen (Rischmille) Burns. From a young age, she understood the value of hard work, spending many years as a general laborer and always lending a hand to anyone in need. A devoted mother and grandmother, she raised five children. She found joy in simple pleasures, especially reading, tending to flowers and cherishing time with her family and friends. She is survived by her children Kim Mahle, Shawn Mahle, and Twila Larson; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a couple of great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; children, Kyle Mahle, Wade Mahle; and husbands Gerald Mahle and Robert Squires. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept.13, at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, with a visit taking place one hour prior to services.
