Brian D. Jarvela Obit

BRIAN D. JARVELA, 59, of Crosby, died on Feb. 22, 2021 at Essentia St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth.  He was born on June 28, 1961 in Crosby to Donald and Louise (Sharp) Jarvela.
He was a former Clow Stamping Employee with 30 years of service.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Donald and Louise Jarvela
He is survived by his fiancé, Tammy DeCent; one son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Susan Jarvela of Baxter; one daughter, Trista Jarvela of St. Cloud; four step sons and step daughters-in-law, Jerry and Jill DeCent of Ironton, Christopher and Ashley DeCent of Crosby, Joey DeCent of Crosby and Kyler and Meredith DeCent of Deerwood; two step-daughters, Ashley DeCent of Brainerd and Breauna DeCent of Crosby; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Greg and Kay Jarvela and Bruce and Joanne Jarvela, all of Crosby; two sisters and brother-in-law, Diane and Gene Francis of Merrifield and Kris Shattuck of Crosby; and 20  grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
