Constance "Connie" Virginia Krmpotich Obit

CONSTANCE "CONNIE" VIRGINIA KRMPOTICH, 92, of Roseville, died on July 23, 2024.   She was born on June 20, 1932, in Crosby, to Ann (Ferrari) and Orlyn Herington, She graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School and the College of St. Scholastica with a degree in nursing.  She worked as a nurse at Ft. Hood and at Ely Bloomeson Hospital where she later became the Director of Nursing.  While doing that, she worked to attain her master’s degree in public health.   After living in Ely for many years, she and her husband, Frank, relocated to the Twin Cities where she worked doing long-term care reviews for the State of Minnesota.   After retiring, she and her husband volunteered at the Como Zoo for over 20 years.  She enjoyed playing bridged her entire life and, in retirement, also enjoyed jig-saw puzzles. She is preceded in death by her parents,  her husband Frank, daughter Anne and brothers Carl and James Herington. She is survived by her sons, Michael and Mark and daughter, Patricia Carlson, as well as eight grandchildren and four  great-grandchildren. At her request, no public service will be held.  In lieu of flowers, she requested donations be directed to the Como Zoo. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at St. John’s Hospital and N.C. Little Hospice for their care, compassion and support.
