David Christopher Smith Obit

DAVID CHRISTOPHER SMITH, 58, of Bird Island died on May 16, 2023 at his home. He was born in Minneapolis on Jan. 8, 1965 to Everett and Jeanne (Scavo) Smith. He graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School class of 1983.  He was a long-time truck driver for Transystems Sugar Beet Transportation in Renville.
He is survived by four brothers, Leslie (Julie) Smith of Duluth, Alan Smith of Cuyuna, Daniel Smith of Brainerd and Patrick Smith of Roseau; one sister, Lynn (Mark) Nilson of Ogilvie.
Preceding him in death are his parents; two brothers, Tim and Gary Smith; and two sisters, Marianne and Nancy Smith.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, Oct. 22 at Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 1 to 4:00 p.m.
Burial will be at the Woodland Cemetery in Irondale Township.
