Donna Dahl Obit

DONNA DAHL, 85, of Brainerd, died on Friday, Feb. 4, 2022, at Essential Health—St. Joseph’s Medical Center. She was born to Charles and Ethel Mae (Lee) Root in Crosby on Feb. 4, 1937. After graduating from Crosby High School, she attended Hamline University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Music Education. She was able to use her degree for many years and celebrate her passion for music as the Choir Director for Park United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, spending time at the cabin, doing crossword puzzles, bowling and she could water ski well into her 60s. Most importantly, she was fiercely proud of her children and grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered for her feisty personality and spitfire spirit. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, LeRoy; and infant child, Benjamin. She is survived by her two children and their spouses, Kathryn and Larry Kidd and Todd and Susan  Dahl; four grandchildren  and three great-grandchildren. Services have been held.
