Dorothy A. Rono Obit

DOROTHY ANN RONO, 86, of Crosby, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday Nov. 20, 2019.
Dorothy was born in Crosby on Dec. 22, 1932 to Frank and Barbara (Herriot) Goette. She graduated from Crosby High School, and married Ole (Gene) Rono on Oct. 31, 1951. Dorothy worked as a seamstress, waitress, and line worker, but her role as a wife and mother was the most important thing in her life. She enjoyed gardening, baking, playing cards, and solving crossword puzzles.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Gene; infant daughter; parents; sisters Caroline Starry, Lillian Goette; brothers William Goette, Clarence Goette, and James Goette.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Marta (Arne) Swanson, Pamela (David) Straka; sons Russell E. Rono, Randy (Bobbye) Rono, Robert M. Rono; grandchildren Amanda (Dustin) Voller, John E. Swanson (Miranda King); great-grandchildren Bree Voller, Hunter Voller; brother Paul Goette.
She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
A celebration of life has been held.
