Duane Otto Welch Obit

DUANE OTTO WELCH, age 85, died peacefully July 6, 2019.  He led a joyous and loving life with his family and friends; as an educator and baseball coach in Hopkins School District and in his dedicated pursuit of fish and a golf ball.  
He is survived by his wife Janice (Adams); step-daughter and son-in-law Danielle and Alan Skajewski; grandson Lee; and his many cherished friends.
Services will be held privately.  He wishes any memorials be sent to your local Salvation Army or animal shelter.  
We are sure he is wishing to bring a smile to the faces of all his great friends and fishing buddies, with his oft repeated mantra.  A quote from Buck Perry of Hickory, NC, highly respected teacher, fisherman, and inventor of the Spoonplug.  “10 percent of the fish are in 90 percent of the water.  90 percent of the fish are in 10 percent of the water.  Don’t fish where they ain’t."
