Fred W. Van Krevelen Obit

FRED W. VAN KREVELEN, 82, of Crosby, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026. Born in Minneapolis on April 16, 1944, Fred was a devoted husband and loving father. Known for his sharp mind and strong convictions, he was never shy about sharing his opinions. Whether discussing the state of the world or the best way to repair something, Fred relished a good conversation. He cared deeply about his family and friends and never missed an opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue or offer heartfelt advice. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers and daughter Kristen Van Krevelen. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Diane; his daughters, Dana (Wayne) Twitchell and Karla (Dave) Fox; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin) Van Krevelen-Devine, Matthew (Gabrielle) Fox, Laura (Zachary) Johnson, and Mitchell (Brooke) Fox; six great-grandchildren: Heidi, Rhone, Archer, Grady, Calla, and Miller; and his sister, Julie Loftus (Brian). Celebration of Life gathering will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 5 at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel, 1827 Coon Rapids Boulevard NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433.  Visitation will be one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to a charity of your choice in Fred’s memory. Fred will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
