Gary Mark Zgutowicz Obit

GARY MARK ZGUTOWICZ, 78, of Deerwood, died on June 6, 2023 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby.  He was born in Minneapolis on June 22, 1944 to Walter and Ann (Blahut) Zgutowicz.  He was a U.S. Army veteran.  Gary married Susan Beam on Sept. 21, 1968 in Minneapolis.   
He was a retired Senior Executive with IBM Corporation with 30 years of service.  During his career, he and his family resided in Minneapolis, Atlanta, and primarily Grand Rapids, MI.  He retired to Agate Lake in 1993.  Gary was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the Cuyuna Range Knights of Columbus. He served as a past officer and was very active with the Cuyuna Range Food Shelf.
Preceding Gary in death are his parents and his wife Susan.
Gary is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Nancy Zgutowicz of Glen Ellyn, IL; his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Kurt  Schiller of Stafford, VA; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Eugene and Reni Zgutowicz, Ron and Merilyn Zgutowicz, and Thomas and Marsha  Zgutowicz; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Bruno Mattedi, Beverly Bumgarner, Rosalyn and Joe Sroga, Janice and Jim Shear, Mary Ann and Jeff Froehle and Barbara and Greg Gildner  and six grandchildren, Jack, Caroline and Peter Zgutowicz and Liam, Katherine and Joseph Schiller.
Services have been held.  
If desired, memorials are preferred to the Cuyuna Range Food Shelf.  
Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
