Georgia Anne Norstrom Obit

GEORGIA ANNE NORSTROM, 88, passed away peacefully Aug. 28, 2025 at her home in Maple Grove. She was born Jan. 10, 1937, in Minneapolis to George and Eleanor Hinz. She graduated from Patrick Henry High School in Minneapolis and St. Cloud State University. She taught school in Milaca and Crosby-Ironton and was an active participant in both the Presbyterian and Lutheran churches throughout her life. She was preceded in death by husbands, Donald Johnson (in 1960); Dale Norstrom (in 2001); special friend, Jack Waldon (in 2003); special friend, Gary Wachter (in 2023); and a great-granddaughter, Ayla Welch (in 2018). She is survived by her children, Jane Norstrom, Susan (Paul) Waldon, Douglas (Leora) Norstrom, Donelle (Timothy) Welch; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life has been held. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to donor’s choice.
