Harold George Moritz Obit

HAROLD GEORGE MORITZ, 94, of Emily, died on Oct. 25, 2019 at the Woodland Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd.  He was born on Nov. 10, 1924 in Ross Lake Township to George and Ida (Bodle) Moritz.  He was a retired Inland Steel Employee and a retired local logger.  He was a member of the Wesleyan Church in Emily.
Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Babe; one granddaughter; one brother, Herbert Moritz and two sisters, Frances Glidden and Bea Valentino.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Nancy Moritz of Emily; three daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Jerry Wynn of Isle; Vickie and Pete Peterson of Brainerd and Margaret Moritz of Emily; one brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Eileen Moritz of Embarrass; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2 at The Wesleyan Church in Emily.  Burial will be at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Emily with full military rites given by the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443, Ironton.  
Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.
