Ironton Legion offers hot lunches for children

While the Crosby-Ironton schools are closed due to the Coronavirus, the Ironton American Legion is offering daily hot meals to children in grades kindergarten through grade twelve at no charge. The same meals are being offered for pick up to the general public at $6 per meal.
Meals will be available Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The menu consists of:
—Monday: Spaghetti with garlic toast
—Tuesday: Tator Tot Hotdish
—Wednesday: Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy
—Thursday: Sloppy Joe with either potato salad or potato chips
—Friday: Burger with fries.
If bars and restaurants in the state of Minnesota are asked to limit their restaurant seating, the Ironton American Legion is planning to have meal delivery for a small fee Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
