James Bernard Root Obit

JAMES BERNARD ROOT, 76, or Park Rapids died Aug. 1, 2024 at  St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth. He was born Sept. 28, 1947 in Brainerd to Pauline (Tulley) and Lloyd Root, Sr. He was a proud alumnus of Crosby-Ironton High School, graduating in 1965. A former member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Crosby, he dedicated much of his professional life to serving as an insurance agent with American Family Insurance, working both in Minnesota and Arizona. Preceeding him in death are his parents, as well as his brothers Gary and Bob, and his sister Mary Lou. He is survived by his sister, Dianne Wentz of Hermantown and his brother, Lloyd E. Root, Jr. of Mesa, AZ No services are planned.
