James E. Nordvall Obit

JAMES E. NORDVALLl,  92, of Emily, MN, formerly of Andover. On Dec. 16, 2025, Jim was at home when he was called to heaven to be with his Lord and Savior. Preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy, parents Elvin and Helen Nordvall, and sister Barb Dahl. Survived by two sons, Michael (Cindy) and Mark (Jan); four grandchildren, Sarah, Jeff, Allison and Connor; great-grandchildren, Levi and Olivia; loving sister, Beverly (Dennis) Eliason. Jim learned how to work hard as a boy on the family farm in Braham. He embraced that work ethic with stints in the U.S. Army as a military policeman, a Euclid truck driver in the iron mines in Hibbing and a successful 40-year career at Honeywell, of which he was very proud. Jim spent countless hours coaching his boys in hockey, football and baseball as well as teaching them how to fix or maintain just about anything in the garage. He was involved in many activities including Emily City Planning and serving on his church board. He loved traveling the countryside, especially on his Harley and in later years his red VW Bug convertible. He also enjoyed snowmobiling but most of all he loved being a dad and grandpa. Dad was very active up to the day he passed. His caring heart and quick wit will be deeply missed. Per his request, no formal funeral plans are being planned. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
