James "Jim" Allen LaBorde Obit

JAMES ALLEN LaBORDE, 62, of Fairfield Township died at his home on April 9, 2022.  He was born on Jan. 6, 1960 in Crosby to George and Phyllis (Olander) LaBorde.  He married Kathryn Harren on Aug. 25, 1979 in Emily.  He was the former owner of LaBorde Plumbing and Heating.  He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 346 in Duluth.  He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. Preceding him in death are his parents and one brother, George “Louie” LaBorde, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; one son, Luke LaBorde of Crosby; one daughter, September LaBorde of Crosby; two brothers and sister-in-law, William and Julie LaBorde of Crosby and Randy LaBorde of Breezy Point; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Marilyn and Gene Moritz of Crosby, Dianna Erickson of California, Wendy Johnson of Deerwood and Judy and Greg Steinke of Deerwood  and five grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 19 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.  Burial will be at the Fairfield Township Cemetery.  A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.
