Jay Douglas Gibson Obit

JAY DOUGLAS GIBSON, 79, of Deerwood, passed away on Aug. 18, 2026 at VA Healthcare System in St. Cloud. He was born Dec.20, 1946 in Minneapolis to Ernst and Marguerite (Hatcher) Gibson.     Jay was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam. He married Jeanie Walker on Nov. 15, 2019 in Deerwood.  Jay was an avid fisherman and pool player. Jay is survived his wife Jeanie; his sons, Jay (Daniella Pry) Kachina of Blaine and Gary Kachina of Columbia Heights; two grandchildren, Trevor Kachina and Mason Kachina; and nieces, Tammy Ebert and Dana Artis. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept.12, 2026 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.  A visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be at noon Friday, Sept. 18, at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls with Military Honors.
