Jeb Clark Rider Obit
JEB CLARK RIDER, 52, of Lansing, MI, passed away on Aug. 25, 2026 at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, Minnesota. Jeb was born Jan. 19, 1974 in Crosby, Minnesota to Greg and Sharon Rider. He graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School in 1992. After completing the Robotics program at Staples Technical College, he started his 30 year career as a Robotics Engineer for General Motors in Lansing, MI. Jeb had a zest for life. His love of sunshine and water, and passion for fast boats, led him to many offshore powerboating events, Boyne Thunder being an annual favorite. He loved people and made numerous life-long friends. Jeb could be found enjoying time on the golf course, driving his Camaro, or meeting up with friends. Jeb’s son, Cash, was the true light of his life and brought him the most joy. They shared a special bond doing many activities together. Picking Cash up from the bus stop was the highlight of their day, especially when dad was driving the Camaro. Jeb will be deeply missed by his son Cash, Angela Dembowske (mother of Cash), Lansing, MI; parents Greg and Sharon Rider, Deerwood, MN; brother Jason Rider, Ironton, MN; Nephew Gregory Jason Rider (Grace), Brainerd, MN; and many special aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be reunited in Heaven with his grandparents, Gil and Betty Rider, Rudy and Ruby Johnson and Wright and Shelby Olson. Please join us as we gather to remember and honor a life that meant so much to us. A brief memorial service on Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Ironton American Legion, Ironton, Minnesota, will begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by an open lunch reception starting at noon. We invite you to stop by anytime until 3 p.m. to share a meal, share a story or memory and spend some time with us. Your presence, friendship, and support would mean a great deal to us. A large celebration of life for Jeb will be held in Michigan at a later date.
