John Austin Williams Obit

JOHN AUSTIN WILLIAMS, 88, of Outing, died on Oct. 9, 2021 at his home.  He was born in Richmond to George and Mabel (Rodgers) Williams.  He was a U.S. Army veteran. John married Annie “Nancy” McGarry in Minneapolis on Aug. 11, 1955.  He retired to Outing in 1992. Preceding John in death are his parents; his wife Annie “Nancy” and one son, William; five brothers, Buddy, Ray, Frank, Jim and Jerry Williams; and one sister, Monica Hirdler. John is survived by two sons, George (Nancy) Williams of Lincoln, NE and Vernon (Colleen) Williams of Outing; three brothers, Mike (Joanne) Williams of Anoka, Pat (Hanna) Williams of   New London-Spicer and Gene (Lou) Williams of Outing, four grandchildren, Haley, Cameron, Alix (Andrew Guessouroun) and Keegan (Kelsey) and three great-grandchildren, Abigail, William and Emmett John. A Memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9 at St. Emily’s Catholic Church in Emily.  Burial will be at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Emily with full military honors by the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443, Ironton.  A gathering of friends and family will be one hour prior to the mass on Saturday. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
