John E. Mumm Obit

JOHN E. MUMM, 78, died Sept. 7, 2025, at The Sanctuary in St. Cloud. He was born Feb. 26, 1947, to Joseph and Margaret (Kallas) Mumm in Bertha. He married Darlene Meyer on Sept. 13, 2003. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and Staples High School. He served in the United States Army  as an E3 Field Radio Mechanic. He was employed with FML, Scorpion and managed several turkey farms. His most fulfilling joy was delivering meals to the eldery. He was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He is preceded by his wife, Darlene, his parents, Joseph and Margaret Mumm, his step-father Lawrence Mumm and his sister, Marie Bristlin. He is survived by Sara (Randy) Mumm-Frehse, Hinckley; Shane (Bobbi) Mumm, Crosby; Wendy Pual, Frederick, CO; David (Gloria) Meyer, Hudson, WI; Darin (Gwen) Meyer, Bemidji; Waneta (Kip) Perkins, St. Cloud. Siblings: Bernard (Gloria) Mumm, Staples; Teresa (Walt) Peterson, Lindstrom; JoAnn (Wayne) Lenk, Browerville; Rose (Dan) Weber, Perham; Larry Mumm, South Dakota; brother-in-law Jack Bristlin, Staples; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Owatonna on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. Burial at Lands Lutheran Cemetery in Zumbrota.
