Joseph B. Brown Obit

JOSEPH B. BROWN, 63, died on June 24, 2023. He was a resident of Woodland Park, CO for over 15 years and was a former resident of Colorado Springs, CO. He held many jobs in his lifetime but was employed with Lamb Excavating at the time of death. He was born on Oct. 12, 1959 to John Brown and Brynetta (Hendrickson) Brown in Crosby-Ironton. On Sept. 13, 1980 he married the love of his life, Amy (Squires) Brown. He was fond of fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Catholic Church and attended Crosby-Ironton High School and graduated in 1978. After graduating, he served in the United States Navy for two years. He was very hard-working and did everything he could for those he loved. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and his family always came first. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his father, John; his mother, Brynetta and his brother, John Brown. He is survived by his loving wife, Amy; his two daughters and sons-in-law, Jolleen and Scott Ruberry  and Alysha and Kirby Lovato; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; his brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Gina Brown; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Charlie Martello, Dianna and Pat Millington, Marietta and Gary Passon, Kathy Sommers, Carmen Brown, Bernadette Brown, Cinde and Rudy Tomson, Barbara Bergie and Sara Brown. In August, his family will hold a memorial to scatter his ashes at his favorite camping and fishing spot. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be sent to the American Cancer Society.
