Joseph "Mike" Vidmar Obit

JOSEPH M. 'MIKE' VIDMAR, 79, of Crosby died on Dec. 3, 2020 at the Parkview Care Center in Buffalo.
He was born in Milwaukee, WI., to Joseph and Frances (Butorac) Vidmar on July 6, 1941.  He graduated from the Crosby-Ironton High School, Class of 1959.  He then went to school in Grand Rapids to be in the U.S. Forestry Service.  He was a Vietnam U.S. Navy veteran, serving as a Photo Interpreter on the USS Bonhomme Richard Aircraft Carrier.  He was employed in San Diego and Las Vegas as an Operating Engineer with 33 years of service and was a member of the Operating Engineers Union #12 in San Diego. After his retirement, he moved to Coos Bay, OR then Kingman, AZ, returning to Crosby in 2011.  
Preceding him in death are his father, and his wife Catherine.
He is survived by his mother, Frances of Crosby; one brother, John (Cathy) Vidmar of Buffalo; two sisters, Judith Feddick of Marshfield, WI and Patricia Lasher of Crosby; step sons, William, Stephen and Don Grace and many nieces and nephews.
A private family service is being held.  Arrangements are with Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
