Joseph A. Thiebault Obit

JOSEPH A. THIEBAULT, JR., 81, of Crosby, died on March 16, 2022 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.  He was born in Minneapolis on June 16,1940 to Joseph and Kathryn (McKowen) Thiebault. He married Loreli “Babe” Blacketer on Sept. 1, 1959 in Minneapolis.  He was retired from the State of Minnesota with 20 years of service.  He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby, was the president of the Sons of the American Legion, Ironton and served on the Myrin-James American Legion Color Guard Unit #443, Ironton.   Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Loreli “Babe”; four brothers and one sister. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Wendy Thiebault of Ironton, his daughter, Lynn Thiebault of Cottage Grove; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lou and Darryl Skallet of Pequot Lakes; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby with military honors presented by the Myrin-James American Legion Post.  Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
