Joyce B. Trefethen Obit

JOYCE B. TREFETHEN, 92, of Crosby, died at Heartwood Senior Living Community in Crosby on Jan. 1, 2020.  She was born on Jan. 1, 1928 in Minneapolis to Leonard and Alma (Rasmussen) Anderson.  She married Elmer Trefethen on Sept. 28, 1946 in St. Paul.  She was a retired LPN at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center and volunteered at the care center as an accompanist for the Sing-a-longs.  She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby and St. Joseph’s CCW. She served as a past secretary for the Bee-Nay-She Bird Club.
Preceding her in death are her parents and one brother, Leonard Anderson, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Elmer; three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Jane Trefethen of Monticello, Thomas and Helen Trefethen of Webb Lake, WI, and John and Kathleen Trefethen of Eden Prairie; one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and James Goke of St. Cloud; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.  Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.  
Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
