Judy Doonan Obit

JUDY DOONAN, 81 of Deerwood, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. She was born to Basil and Lillian Doonan in Willow River; the youngest of nine children. She was known for her strength, resilience and adventurous spirit. She found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life by tending to her flowers and apple tree. She was an avid reader and enjoyed attending a meat raffle now and then. She is the former owner of Eddy’s Smokehouse of Deerwood, former Deerwood City Council Member, and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, brothers and daughter Regina. She is survived by her daughter Tammy (Dean) Utermarck; grandchildren Megan (Justin) Hynnek, Jeremy (Katie) Utermarck and Cameryn Mosier; great-grandchildren Grayson and Emilia Hynnek and Keely Utermarck; siblings, Al and Jan Doonan, Shirley Meyer  and Rose Seeley; and her little buddy Jinx. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2 p.m., at the Deerwood American Legion.
