Katherine "Katie" Perpich

KATHERINE 'KATIE" PERPICH, 96, of Crosby formerly of Ironton, died on Oct. 14, 2020 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby.  She was born on Aug. 10, 1924 in Cuyuna to Peter and Mildred Magdich. She married John R. Perpich in Crosby on June 20, 1953.  She worked as a teller at the Crosby Bank, retiring in 1987.  She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby and the Myrin-James American Legion Auxiliary #443 of Ironton.
Preceding Katie in death are her parents; her husband, John R. Perpich; four sisters, Mary Nephew, Anne Brown, Julia Maddux and Ellen Peterson; four brothers, Steve Magdich, John Magdich, Steven Jelencich and Emil Magdich.
Katie is survived by one daughter, Valene Perpich of Ironton; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Maddux, Sr. and David Brown Sr.; sisters-in-law, Hazel Magdich and Marsha Jelencich; many nieces, nephew, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Special friend and roommate at the care center, Cora Kalevik-Holzinger.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby.  Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 4 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:40 p.m. and on Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
