Lauren "Wally" "Swede" Johnson Obit

LAUREN JOHNSON, also known as “Wally,” or “Swede,” passed away at 80 years of age from natural causes on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021 in a Duluth hospital. He spent the last 20 years of his life as a resident of Lake Washburn near Outing. A Minnesotan, through and through, Lauren was born in Minneapolis  in 1941. He went from Southwest High School to the U.S. Navy. He spent the majority of his working life as a produce broker for places like American Produce and Pavich Family Farms. Over the years, he lived in various places in Minnesota and California. Lauren loved his motorcycles, hockey, golf, and fishing. Lauren had his way of doing things, which included frying fish and telling animated jokes! His mother and father, Carl and Margaret, and his dear brother, David, preceded him in death. Lauren is survived by his children and grandchildren: Kurt, Gina, Seth, and Sam Johnson, Shelley (Hogan) Johnson and Ayden Hogan, Erik Johnson, and Chandler Johnson. He is also survived by his sisters and their families: Sally Wilson  and  Francie (George) Domstrand. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in late spring of 2022.
