Lois Elaine Landborg Obit

LOIS ELAINE LANDBORG, 82, died surrounded by family on May 1, 2024 in Andover. She was the youngest of four children born to Walter and Ruth (Heckenliable) Mickelson on March 31, 1942.  She grew up in East Bethel and graduated from St. Francis High School in 1960.  She married the love of her life, Kenneth Landborg on Nov. 4, 1961 and had a loving marriage for 58 years.   Her biggest joy in life was raising her four children and being a part of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s lives.  Some of her favorite highlights were the Fourth of July Parade in Crosby, along with her love for travel with family and her close friends. She traveled across the U.S. as well as Europe and numerous Caribbean family cruises. She was a woman of many talents from starting JuLo’s Ceramic Shop with her good friend in 1973, then selling that company to start Crosstown Masonry, Inc. in 1981 with her husband Ken where she worked until her retirement in 1999.   During that time, she was very active in the industry and served on the board and was President of the Minnesota Concrete Masonry Contractors Association (MCMCA)  in 1997.  She absolutely loved to shop, was known for her exceptional ability to decorate a room or dress a table.  She was able to display this talent in her winter home in Cave Creek, AZ and lake home in Crosby. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Kenneth and her brother David Mickelson.   She is survived by her sister Jean Anderson and brother Charles (Verna May) Mickelson, along with four children, Tim, Tammy (Bruce) Braastad, Jeff (Heidi) and Jason (Lynn), 10 grandchildren and 12 adorable great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 17 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in East Bethel.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.  Burial will be at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. If desired, memorials are preferred to Allina Health Hospice Foundation or to Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.   Arrangements with Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
