Melvin R. Chapman Obit

MELVIN R. CHAPMAN, 70, of Emily died on Aug. 6, 2019 at his home.  He was born in Mount Vernon, IL to Harold and Jessie (Minor) Chapman.

He married Cheryl Stiner on April 4, 1967 in Emily.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; one son, Melvin B. (Shannon) Chapman of Virginia; one daughter, Michelle (Frank) Martin of Emily; one brother, Bruce (Diana) Chapman of Moweaqua, IL; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his parents; one great-granddaughter and one sister.

A Memorial Service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12, 2019 at the Narrows Community Church in Outing.  Burial will be at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Emily at a later date.

Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
