Michael Starry announces bid for County Commissioner

Ironton resident and liberty advocate, Michael J. Starry, is formally announcing his candidacy for Crow Wing County Commissioner, District 5.
The people of District 5 deserve honest, dedicated representation according to a press release issued May 19. “Starry is running to restore integrity and confidence in the office and to give the people a strong and clear voice on the county board.”
A field service engineer by trade, this is Starry’s first run for public office. “Our county faces numerous difficult challenges; expanding budgets, ever increasing property and sales tax, disproportionate allocation of resources between districts and agenda driven policy. Starry believes it is time to face those challenges head on.”
“The people of District 5 deserve a classical approach to governance. Starry is humbly asking for the opportunity to serve as the voice of the people, for the people, in order to implement fiscally sound and constitutionally limited governance, by consent of the governed.”
