Raymond I. Ferrari Obit

RAYMOND I. FERRARI, 83, of Aitkin, formerly of Cuyuna, died on Nov. 19, 2020 at the Aicota Health Care Center in Aitkin.  He was born in Crosby on Feb. 15, 1937 to John and Amelia (Kosnitch) Ferrari.  He served as a Specialist in the U.S. Army.  He married Catherine “Cathey” Bjerkness on Feb. 15, 1994 in Brainerd.  He was retired police officer from the Crosby Police Department with 34 years of service, and a retired Crosby Fireman. Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife and one brother, John “Jinx” Ferrari. He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Allison Ferrari of Emily, Mark and Shanon Ferrari of Cuyuna, Tony and Diane Ferrari of Lincoln, CA and Ted and Jennifer Ferrari of Baxter; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Tim Jensen of Pillager; first wife, Karen Ferrari of Crosby; one brother, Bob Ferrari of Crosby; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Delores “Dodo” Waffensmith and Bob Geske of Deerwood and Glee and Keith Lundgren of Crosby; sister-in-law, Joyce Ferrari of Crosby; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby with full military honors given by the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443, Ironton.  A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.   Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
