Richard Allan Groninga Obit

Richard “Rich” Allan Groninga, 74, of Emily , passed away September 14, 2022 peacefully at home after a long courageous battle with Parkinson Disease. Preceded by parents Herbert and Marcella Groninga; brother, Bruce Groninga and grandson, Tanner Groninga. Rich is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ardis Groninga; children, Todd (Jean) Groninga, Tanya (Scott) Singer, Traci Groninga; grandchildren, Amber Groninga, Torrie Groninga, Autumn Groninga, Zach (Zoe) Singer; great-grandchild, Levi Richard Singer; brothers, Ronald Groninga and Robert Groninga. The family is especially grateful for the loving care provided by St Croix Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred in Rich’s name to The Michael J. Fox Foundation (P.O. Box 5014 Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014). Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29 at Borgund Lutheran Church (2762 260th Street Madison, MN 56256).  A celebration of life will be from 1 to 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 30 at the Channel Bar in Outing. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
