Richard "Gary" Garfield Lee Obit

RICHARD "GARY" GARFIELD LEE died May 20, 2023. He was born Jan. 31, 1940 in Big Fork to Richard Orville Lee and Gwendolyn Lee. He was an only child.
As a young man, he met a beautiful young woman named Carole at choir practice. He was truly smitten. They were married Feb. 23, 1963.
He joined the Army National Guard and rose to the rank of Platoon Sergeant. He also learned to fly and received his pilot’s license.
He make a career in banking, working for the OCC as a bank examiner before becoming the head of audit at Farmers and Merchants Bank in southern California.
After retirement, they moved to Sun City, AZ so they could be close to family.
Family members describe him as kind, generous and probably the most attentive husband there could be. He had a strong faith.
Surviving him are his wife of 60 years, Carole, two sons, Brent and Trevor, four grandsons and eight great-grandsons.
