Robert Brian Olson Obit

ROBERT BRIAN OLSON, 70, of Lino Lakes, died March 6 at home. He was born April 17, 1952 in Grand Forks, ND, to Pearl Jeanette (Nelson)  and William Elwood Olson. He married Janet Marion Selle on June 27, 1997. He graduated from Alvarado High School in 1970 and went on to become an automobile and tractor trailer mechanic after graduating from Minnesota State Community & Technical College in 1972. He enjoyed working with his hands and tinkering in his workshop. He had a strong faith in God. He was good-hearted and he willingly helped people in need. He was a history buff, stamp collector, loved rock and roll, woodworking, boating, sports and camping. He will be remembered for his independent spirit, caring fun-loving attitude, and his smile. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jan; his mother, Pearl and his father, William. He is survived by his children, Patience Caso, Minneapolis and Naomi Martin, Woodbury;  siblings, Virgil Olson, Grand Forks; Margaret Nelson, Grand Forks; Carol Barstaad, Casselton and Barbara Wold, Cologne and grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Temperance River State Park in Schroeder June 17 with burial at 1 p.m.
