Roger Dale Bentley, Sr. Obit

ROGER DALE BENTLEY, SR., 83, of Crosby, formerly of Minneapolis, passed away on Jan. 6, 2024. Roger was born on Friday, the 13th of December, 1940 to Loren and Lydia Bentley in St. Cloud. Roger enlisted in the U.S. Army tank division and served in Germany.  He retired from the Propane Industry after 30+ years of service. Roger was formerly an active member of the Cuyuna Range Riders ATV Club.  He proudly volunteered with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources  providing safety training for youth to obtain a permit to operate ATVs. Roger was mechanically gifted and enjoyed working on small engines for family, friends and neighbors. His favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing and 4-wheeling. Roger was always up for a good debate or gathering with friends for morning coffee.  He always had a soft spot in his heart for his family. Roger was preceded in death by his parents Loren and Lydia Bentley.   Roger is survived by his wife of 57 years Joanne Bentley; children Roger D. Bentley, Jr. and William (Amber) Bentley; grandchildren Brandon Bentley, Amanda (John) Kempe, Grace Bentley (Mason Rohde); great-grandchildren Greta and Darwin Kempe and brother Lloyd Bentley.  A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
