Ronald J. Pankratz

RONALD J. PANKRATZ,  88, of Deerwood, died on Oct. 21, 2019 at Aicota Health Care Center in Aitkin.  He was born on June 18, 1931 in Valders, WI to Ralph and Estelle (Thielman) Pankratz.
He was a Korean Conflict Navy veteran. He married Margery Hughes on May 31, 1958 in Dodge County.  He was a retired employee with Peoples Natural Gas in Rosemount with 37 years of service and was a retired Rosemount Fireman with 17 years of service. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby; past commander of the Rosemount American Legion Post #65 and a member of the Walter Scott Erickson American Legion Post #557 of Deerwood.
Preceding him in death are his parents; one son, Richard Pankratz and one brother, Thomas Pankratz.
He is survived by his wife, Margery; one son, David Pankratz of Brainerd; two daughters, and son-in-law Vicky and Pat Ruiz of Rosemount and Pamela Boyd of Garrison; one brother, Gary Pankratz of Fairbault; one sister Sandy Pankratz of Fountain City, WI; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services have been held.
Arrangements were with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
