Sarah Chaltron Obit

SARAH CHALTRON passed away early Sunday morning, Dec. 10, 2023, after fighting a seven-year battle with numerous health issues and complications that resulted from that. Through all the pain and suffering she endured, she never lost her love of life and battled to the very end. Sarah touched many lives in her 47 years. The outpouring of support and grief on Facebook had recurring themes: big heart, good boss, fighter/warrior, beautiful inside and out, she will be missed, she loved to have fun and was fun to be around, she loved and was loved, devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and loyal friend. Sarah was the owner of Pet North in Brainerd for several years, and many of her employees became life-long friends. Sarah was born Sept. 20, 1976 in VanNuys, CA but moved to Minnesota with her mother and siblings when she was 14. She loved the lakes and rivers of central Minnesota and lived near them most of her life. Cooking was a passion and she was good at it. Sarah cooked and baked in large quantities, which was fortunate for those who received her take-home containers. She loved cooking shows, much to the dismay of her nurses taking care of her, given that she typically could not eat while in the hospital. Sarah loved visiting her cousins and catching up with their stories. She really enjoyed going to garage sales, craft fairs and greenhouses with her daughter and her mother. She was proud of her plants on the deck, especially the hot peppers. Sarah is preceded in death by her brother, Fred Chaltron Ill, stepfather, Jim Lundgren; grandparents, Dale and Marge Monson; cousins, Marcy Palermo, Denise Fairchild, Bryce Monson and Michael Theisen. Sarah is survived by her children, Neal (Rachel) Buchite Ill, Mia Buchite and Christian Buchite; grandchildren, Hope Buchite and Neal (Bobo) Buchite IV; mother, Shelley Lundgren; father, Fred ChaItron, Jr; brother, John Chaltron; fiance, Andrew (Andy) Johnson, who was the love of her life and beloved English bulldogs, Lucille and Wilber. A celebration of life for all who knew and loved Sarah will be held in the warmth and green of spring. The date and time will be announced at a later date. Her family would like to thank all those who offered prayers and support at this very difficult time. They would also like to thank those that befriended and supported Sarah in good times and bad. It is appreciated more than you can know.
