Stanley M. Johnson Obit

STANLEY MARLOW JOHNSON, 87, of Crosby, formerly of Outing, died on Aug. 12, 2019 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby.  He was born on July 16, 1932 in Minneapolis to Jonas and Caroline (Grimsrud) Johnson.  Stanley graduated from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis, class of 1950. He attended the University of Minnesota and served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1962.  On Sept. 5, 1958 Stanley married Shirley Isenberg.  In January of 1960 they moved to Outing.  They were blessed with three sons.
Preceding Stanley in death are his parents; one son, Paul; one brother, Jonas and a niece, Linda.
Stanley is survived by his wife, Shirley; two sons, Daniel of Duluth and Mark (Melissa) of Manhattan Beach; six grandchildren, Ashley (Josh), Sara, Payten, Jonas, Aaron and Joshua and one nephew, Bradley Johnson.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Outing.  Full military honors will be presented by the Crosslake-Fifty Lakes American Legion Post #500.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.
